Our Holistic Approach

Helping You Find Direction Again

Trauma-informed peer support guided by training from TraumaSol and grounded in lived experience.

The Vega Project aims to provide compassionate, trauma-informed peer support for individuals navigating life-altering diagnoses and for partners supporting survivors of sexual assault. The primary goal is to create a safe, non-judgmental space where people can talk openly about difficult experiences and feel heard, understood, and validated.

The project seeks to help individuals regain a sense of stability and direction during emotionally overwhelming moments by offering supportive conversation, practical perspective, and grounded guidance. Another goal is to reduce feelings of isolation that often accompany trauma or major diagnoses by connecting people with someone who understands the challenges they may be facing.

Ultimately, The Vega Project strives to empower individuals to move forward with greater clarity, resilience, and confidence as they navigate some of life’s most difficult transitions.

Training & Approach

The Vega Project is guided by trauma-informed principles and training focused on compassionate peer support, emotional safety, and respectful conversation.

Justin Fields has completed trauma-informed peer support training through TraumaSol, a training organization dedicated to trauma-informed practices and education.

This training informs the approach used in peer support sessions, emphasizing listening, validation, and supportive conversation during difficult life transitions.

Meet  Justin

Justin Fields is the founder of The Vega Project, a trauma-informed peer support initiative dedicated to helping individuals navigate life-altering diagnoses and supporting partners of survivors of sexual assault.

Justin’s work is rooted in both trauma-informed training and lived experience. He completed trauma-informed peer support training through TraumaSol, where he studied principles of trauma-aware communication, emotional safety, and compassionate support practices. This training informs the supportive and grounded approach used in conversations with individuals facing difficult life transitions.

Justin’s perspective is also shaped by his own experience navigating a life-changing medical diagnosis and the emotional uncertainty that often follows major personal challenges. Through The Vega Project, he aims to create a space where people can speak openly, feel heard, and find direction again during moments when life feels overwhelming or disorienting.

Inspired by Vega, one of the brightest guiding stars in the night sky, The Vega Project exists to offer steady support, compassionate listening, and trauma-informed conversation for people searching for clarity during difficult chapters of life.
